I do find it interesting, and I do not disagree with the Lutheran understanding of the convicting nature of the law and the life-givig nature of the gospel. Strangely though, I also believe that in the passage from Mary's song: "... has filled the hungry with good things, but has sent the rich away empty" (Luke 1:53) is indeed good news for the rich. Good news, and yes, made into good news through the conviction that drives us back to God. See; I just can't separate them. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
