Exodus 36:1-38:31

THE YEAR OF BLOGGING BIBLICALLY: DAY 30

There really isn't much to say about these three chapters of Exodus. Bezalel and Oholiab do the jobs to which they were appointed. The Tabernacle is constructed and its furnishings made, all according to the instructions given to Moses on Mt. Sinai.

The offerings for this project are better than expected. Moses does what no minister has ever done since. He tells the people to stop giving. The amounts of donated goods tallied in chapter 38 are impressive.

There is mention of a census, and its attendant tax, though there was no narrative of it being taken.

That's about it. Tomorrow we wrap up the book of Exodus. I'll have a few retrospective thoughts about this book.

Next: Exodus 39-49
